Job Description

We are looking for a forward-thinking Operations Manager to lead strategic projects and drive operational excellence across our service centres, warehousing and distribution network. This role focuses on process improvement, project implementation, infrastructure planning, and cross-functional alignment, rather than daily warehouse supervision. You will work closely with the National Service Centre Manager and the Warehouse Manager, who oversees daily activities on the floor.

Main duties will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Lead and manage operational improvement projects across service centres, warehousing, logistics, and distribution.
  • Oversee the rollout of new systems, processes, technologies, and SOPs.
  • Drive optimisation of space, workflows, warehouse layout, and material handling solutions.
  • Conduct operational analysis and develop business cases for enhancements and cost savings.
  • Monitor operational KPIs and identify improvement opportunities in productivity, accuracy, and service levels.
  • Collaborate with managers to resolve operational challenges and support continuous improvement.
  • Manage relationships and performance of key service providers, transport partners, and 3PLs.
  • Lead initiatives focused on health & safety improvements, compliance, and audit readiness.
  • Coordinate cross-functional projects with Finance, HR, IT, Procurement, and Sales.
  • Support capacity planning, forecasting, and peak season readiness.
  • Oversee asset management & projects, including equipment procurement and maintenance planning.

Qualifications and experience required:

  • 5–7 years’ experience in warehousing, distribution, logistics, or supply chain operations.
  • Proven experience managing operational projects or leading process improvement initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse optimisation, layout design, and WMS functionality.
  • Excellent analytical, planning, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and lead change effectively.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Continuous improvement / Lean / Six Sigma experience (advantageous).
  • Relevant qualification in Operations Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Engineering
